As we encourage experiential learning in formal or academic institutions, we see the need to encourage relevant application of formal knowledge in non-formal sectors so as to improve the economic, environmental, and social impacts in the corresponding neighborhood.
We have observed that access to key technical information and technical tools have meaningful output on work-done. As such, through training sessions and demonstrations, as well as access to functional, serviceable, and maintainable tools and equipment, Galaksi Foundation Inc. will unleash the potential energy in rural areas of Sub-Sahara Africa.
Some of the projects that we are working towards are offering technical sessions and, providing tool kits to the Jua-Kali Community to improve on craftsmanship of local products as well as repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
We are also interested in understanding, designing, and building ways in which we can work with both local and global communities on how we should revive and protect water catchment areas, build and maintain waterways to increase access to clean, consistent and adequate water supply in rural areas.
