Dr. Richard Stickney is a founding director of the Galaksi Foundation and has been with the company since its inception.
Dr. Stickney currently holds his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Dr. Stickney is currently working for Hilomast, LLC, a global company that produces masts for communications and other processes.
Dr. Stickney has pursued a range of interests and fortunately have found them all to be rewarding and life enriching. Dr. Stickney remains active with numerous projects including, volunteering for various organizations and serving on a multitude of boards and committees including: the Good Samaritan Free Clinic of West Volusia (Triage RN), Volunteer Crisis Team Leader of over 170 professional mental health providers in and around the greater New York City metropolitan area in response to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Buildings, the Domestic Abuse Council of Volusia Board, Easter Seals of Flagler-Volusia Advisory Committee, Volusia Literacy Council Board, Volusia Public Schools Committees on Hispanic Student Affairs as well as African-American Student Affairs, Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board, the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, Individual Cancer Assistance Network, Eating Disorder Network of Central Florida, the Rotary Club, and others.
Dr. Stickney is passionate about learning and education, ecological and environmental issues,human cultures (including Deaf awareness and culture), human and animal rights, and good stewardship of our planet.
The best advice Dr. Stickney has ever received was “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” He ensures he lives by these words and applies this to every living system and being.
