Galaksi Foundation Inc. is investing in building STEM skills of young brains in rural, low-income communities.
We are conducting workshops to 1. expose students to STEM possibilities, 2. encourage students to explore STEM fields, 3. assist student with applying theoretical knowledge to practical solutions and innovative problem solving capabilities in their communities.
We are planning to work with 500 students in 2024. Currently, we are targeting students in Upper Primary Schools. We do 5 workshop events. Of the five, we develop three workshops with the teachers so as to emphasize the scientific principles within the curriculum. For the remaining two, we work with local stakeholders to navigate through the challenges affecting the community.
We are estimating that the workshops will cost $15.00 per student. Our total budget is $7,500.00 (seven thousand, five hundred dollars)
We are seeking financial support, technical knowledge, mentors, volunteers and partnerships.
